Memory and Past allow you to make adjustments! Looking into your past can predict your future. If you have made mistakes in the past you can correct them for the future! You can use what you remember to your advantage. Your memory and past can shape your future!

Great Gatsby theme that I think relates the most to me is the theme of Mutability of identity. I feel like throughout the years I have adopted diffenrent personalities and mindsets based on where I was in life and who where the people I was around. The theme of money and materialism related to me the most because this is what I want. I want to work hard to get money and be sucvesssful. I want to make my own money and buy and many homes and cars as much as I can. After I ask satisfies with my needs I will decide to settle down and do what I need to do. Working hard to make good money is my main focus
Love , Desire and Relationships relate to me the most because I feel like everyday something happens related to that topic. Meaning that love has an effect on you either in a good or bad way. Relationships is the most important thing I feel like because it’s always good to have healthy relationships. It helps benefit yourself because many people use love and desire as revenge.

Religion is a theme from the Great Gatsby that relates to me. It relates to me because my religion plays a big part in my daily decision. I might not go to church every Sunday but I did when I was younger and I haven't forgot about those days. I believe the theme of wealth can relate to me personally a lot. Wealth is an important part in every human's life. The amount of money you make determines many things, for example it determines how people view you. If you don't have a wealth many consider you poor. I believe others will look down on you, pity you and ultimately treat you differently. But if you have a good amount of wealth they will look up to you and see you as someone on a higher level or class.

The theme that I can relate to is, Money and Materialism. We live in a society ,where often who we are is defined by our possessions. Sadly people judge you, not by your character, but on what we own, wear, etc. Recently my family has fallen into financial hardships, my dad has been on strike since March 28. My parents aren't able to provide me with the latest, iPhone, or new gadgets. This is especially hard on me, where image is everything for a teenager.

The thematic aspect that relates to me most is the American dream.Growing up I was always told if you work hard and your creat an obtainable goal you can be successful. I believe the your position in life can changes depending on how much work you put in, there is nothing that could stop you from reaching an optainable goal. Many people feel the American dream is just an allusion to give the less fortunate false hope however the American dream is a great motivator even if it is just an allusion their is a chance your goal can be obtained.
The theme in The Great Gatsby that relates to me the most I think that memory and past relates the most to me because the past makes you who you are today and pretty much effects your future. My past made me stronger and more wise on certain situations, which is a big benefit. Memory relates to me because being able to remember the bad and the good that occurred in my life helps me want to choose what path I want to take for my future.

ReplyDeleteI feel the Great Gatsby is mainly based off of love. I think the one thing that describes me which also relates to the great gatsby is memory and the past, because when looking back at your past it gives you room to grow and a chance to see the benifits in growing.

One theme from the Great Gatsby that I can relate to the most is memory and past. I feel that memory and past can thicken your skin and help you not repeat things that have occurred in the past. Memory and past event can help you make wise adjustments for future events that may occur. As mentioned in the "Great Gatsby" Nick tells Gatsby that he can't repeat the past but Gatsby responds by saying that "you can go back to the past, but you can't repeat it."

The topic or element money relates to me because this is what i strive for and what the whole world is on a hunt for. Money not only gets us what we desire but also if we use it the right way we can help others. Money brings materialism because after money we like material things and it makes us more motivated.
